Our purpose is to empower residents of Maple Ridge to shift to a low-carbon economy, through:

Alouette River Management Society (ARMS)
The Alouette River Management Society is dedicated to proactively protecting and improving the Alouette Watershed and surrounding areas by creating a healthy environment connecting parks, trail systems, public centers and waterways.

Golden Ears Transition Initiative (GETI)
GETI is a grass-roots volunteer-driven organization in the Maple Ridge / Pitt Meadows area of Metro Vancouver. We work to find local solutions to global problems like peak oil, climate change, environmental degradation, and food security. We work for positive change in our communities and our environment.
Haney Farmer’s Market
The Haney Farmers Market Society encourages a healthy community by providing the public with direct access to food producers. The Market serves to stimulate and support the local economy, to provide opportunities to inform and entertain and to support and strongly encourage environmental sustainability.

HUB Cycling Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows
HUB Cycling is a charitable not-for-profit organization that has spent over 20 years removing barriers to cycling in Metro Vancouver, while cultivating the health, environmental, and economic benefits that active transportation can bring. HUB has educated thousands of people, motivated thousands more, and championed improvements that #UnGapTheMap to create a connected cycling network.
Kanaka Education & Environmental Partnership Society (KEEPS)
KEEPS’ mission is to maintain the health of Kanaka Creek watershed’s natural ecosystems through education, community involvement, scientific research, land preservations and partnerships based on stewardship principles.
Maple Meadows Green Drinks
Maple Meadows Green Drinks is a gathering of friends and neighbours from Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge who share an interest in the environment and a commitment to sustainability. We meet the 4th Tuesday of the month to connect, learn and socialize.

Repair Café Maple Ridge
A Repair Café is a community-building event where volunteers with repair expertise help people in their community repair their broken belongings. We have volunteers who can fix electrical appliances, clothing repairs, bicycles, jewelry, small furniture, and can glue anything from ceramics to shoes!

Ridge Meadows Recycling Society
Ridge Meadows Recycling Society is a community-based, non-profit organization that advocates zero waste, operates responsible waste reduction services and provides environmental education. We employ people with developmental disabilities assisting their integration into the community.
Yellow House Farm
We are a certified organic, vertically integrated, no-till, bio-diverse, regenerative farm. We use the land responsibly; giving consideration to the natural ecosystems that we inhabit and cultivate our land sustainably. We grow over 2oo varieties of crops, and offer high quality, nutritious, and flavourful food at accessible prices. You can purchase a membership for our weekly CSA farm boxes, fresh produce, preserves, and baked goods from our Grocer, and hand-crafted meals at our Sunflower Cafe; with the majority of ingredients coming from our land.

Project Drawdown
